Generation:WHY

You can listen right on the main page by clicking the player on the right hand site of the site. You can also click “popup” to pop that player up in a small window so you can leave the page or close the browser all together. (you have to click play)

You can also play depending on what format or media player you prefer. Clicking on windows media player on the main page or the listen page will open up a small popup and play. Using the itunes, winamp or real player options will open the stream that media player.

It depends on if the DJ is live or not. You can use the calendar to view the live show schedule’s and its always displayed on the main page or the listen page and will read something like: Skoubah Steve – LIVE!

If the DJ is live then you can use the contact page to request a song.
If the DJ is not live then you can use the automated request system found on both the listen page and contact page by clicking “request” on those respective pages.

The automated system is basically just a list of songs we currently have in the database, if your song is not there you can head over to the contact page and ask a dj to get it next time they are live.

But be aware that only save “worthy” shows are indeed saved. In other words not every live show is recorded. However ALL Generation WHY shows are recorded initially.

To download shows go to the listen page and scroll down, you will then be giving the option of visiting the page of the show your interested in. Once there you may download and listen, it’s quite simple.

All day Christmas i made it my goal to find out how to listen to Generation WHY on the IPhone, which is much easier then you might think.

If you have an IPhone and you should if your reading this then you already know you can download and buy 100′s of applications that all sorts of thing. In order to listen to generation why you must download an application call “cast catcher“

This app costs a $1.99 and is well worth it, it comes pre-loaded with a few stations but who cares about them. IN the top right hand corner your going to see a little + sign. Click this.

Its going to ask for a station name, you should enter Generation WHY.

Next it asks for the station URL, enter this: http://96.30.12.114:8000/listen.pls

Now click “save“

Viola! Thats it, you can now listen to Generation WHY on your IPhone no matter where you are!

When we are live or streaming music there will be a visible notice on this website so you will know its time to tune in.

However to listen to past shows you can go to the listen page > then > click on the show name you want to listen to, all the past shows will be available for streaming or downloading.
